據西湖大學官網，Dieter A. Wolf教授將于2023年全職加入西湖大學生命科學學院，組建RNA與疾病實驗室。

據介紹，Dieter A. Wolf教授，1995年獲得德國慕尼黑大學醫學博士學位。先后在哈佛大學、斯坦福大學從事博士后研究。1998年起就職于哈佛大學公共衛生學院任助理教授，2003年晉升為副教授。2007年，加入Burnham研究所任全職教授。2019年，加入慕尼黑MGZ醫學遺傳中心，任人類遺傳與醫學項目組負責人。自2021年起，任慕尼黑工業大學兼職研究項目組PI。

據介紹，Wolf教授課題組致力于蛋白質與能量穩態的機制探索，研究其在腫瘤發生過程中的作用，并在抗癌藥物的靶標篩選等方面取得了卓越的研究成果。

來到西湖大學后，Wolf教授未來的研究方向也將擴展到RNA相關疾病的機制研究。利用多組學和iPSC模型來探究肌肉和神經退行性疾病的致病機制，并進一步尋求相關疾病的治療方法。
